Well, we wish we had some great news to share with you...that we would be bringing our daughter home soon! But, we can't share that news with you yet! There have been more delays! But, the good news is that we are at the final step of the adoption in her country. Our paperwork is with the courts and all the judge needs to do is sign the order of adoption. We're being told this can take 4-8 weeks. As soon as the order is signed over there, we send that paperwork to the U.S. government, and then 6-8 weeks after that, we travel to bring her home! So, realistically, if everything goes as it should, we will have our daughter home in the spring of 2013.
Our hearts are aching for our daughter, and we can't wait to meet her! We are asking for your prayers that the process will go even more quickly than predicted! We are praying that she is being well-cared for by her foster family, and that she knows she is loved by them, by us, and most importantly, by God. We would also appreciate your prayers for wisdom for us as we work through the financial situation of paying for her montly foster care fees. With the adoption being delayed, instead of paying for 1-2 months of foster care, we have already paid for 6 months and will have to pay for a total of 12+ months! And, our adoption agency has unexpectedly increased the foster care fees by $350 each month. We weren't planning on this added expense, but trust that God will provide.
Thank you for all of your prayers as we travel through our adoption journey!
